There's power in the word!

I used to always like the New Testament better than the Old, until this past year. The Weirsbe Bible Commentary has helped me so much.
Look, there's now doubt that the Word of God is power. If you don't read, study and learn the Word of God you're missing out on power that He has for your life.
Also, sin is in fact a hinderance to our prayer life and our ministry. We must do everything we can to rid our lives of sin and daily repent. Repent means not just to apologize, that's too easy, repent means to turn and go the opposite direction.
Another thing, why should God's work suffer while we pursue pleasure and comfort for ourselves? We were trying to hang on to the house we're in now. It's a beautiful home, beautiful property. It's also a pretty penny. We made it through a year and a half of unemployment and struggle. He clearly carried us, we did not make it on our own. But it was a huge struggle. The moment we released our home into His hands He began to work and show His favor. Our house was under contract within 48hrs. We are under contract for a home that is literally half the price of this one. It has more than we need in a house, land and farm equipment. It has glorious views of God's land. Like we committed this home to Him, we have already committed our new home to Him, even if it ends up being a different one. The moment we began releasing other stuff we owned God began opening other doors and blessing others. Yasmin Dager Leyton can attest to this.
Matthew 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness, and all these things will be provided for you. 34 Therefore don’t worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
Get into God's word and feel the power come alive.
