Life on the farm reminds me a lot of life in the Family, family of Believers that is. It has really brought our family together and is teaching our children responsibility and team work. Like being a member of the Family of Believers, we must work together, learn from each other, encourage one another, love one another, and hold each other accountable. On the farm it is very difficult to put up a fence by yourself, it is much easier with several hands on deck. Carrying heavy watering cans for the chickens across the pasture is much easier with a partner. It's always nice to have someone near to laugh at you when you slip in the muddy chicken coop. It's definitely a lot easier working livestock with a few people rather than alone. Since we began Liberty Cross Ranch our family has pulled together and we are learning more about each other everyday. We are becoming a stronger team. We are spending quality time together. Our family hasn't subscribed to television in nearly three years and the amount of extra time we actually spend talking and engaging with one another is huge. Not to mention the amount time spent outside enjoying God's beautiful creation. We're not perfect by any means and we're still learning. But, being on the farm is teaching us a lot about God, about each other, and about ourselves.
