People become like the god they worship. What we believe determines how we behave.

I've heard it said many times before that someone will go to heaven because they are a "good" person. What was the point of the Cross if this is the case? I understand that dealing with the concept of a loved one not going to heaven is terribly difficult to swallow, but it's all the more reason we must share the true gospel of our Living God, the God who conquered death and saves the lost. This is the ONLY way to eternal salvation, through Jesus Christ's blood ransom that He paid for you and me. No amount of good deeds or works will save our soul.
